And this is how it all began…

OUR LOVE STORY

IMG_9479.JPG

How We Met

Immanuel and Kennedi’s story began in Sunday School, where simple conversations slowly became something Immanuel looked forward to each week. He always admired Kennedi’s beauty, but it was their effortless connection that truly stood out. What started as small talk about Starbucks, favorite things, and even healthy meals soon turned into longer conversations filled with laughter and ease. Without even realizing it, God was gently weaving something special between them. In those ordinary Sunday moments, He was laying the foundation for a love that would grow far beyond what either of them imagined.

Growing Together

As their connection grew, Immanuel and Kennedi began spending more time together, and their bond only deepened. From working out side by side to movie and dinner dates, their relationship naturally grew into moments of vulnerability and heartfelt conversations. Immanuel began courting Kennedi as he came to love every part of who she is - her presence, her strength, and the way she made him feel truly seen.

Together, they faced many trials, friendships that came and went, and voices that questioned their path. Yet through it all, they remained firm in their faith. In every challenge, they found refuge in one another, growing not only as partners but as best friends, always returning to each other as a safe place. It is through every trial that they stand confident, knowing God brought them together. And in every season, from the lighthearted to the deeply vulnerable, they hold fast to this truth: God with us.

The Proposal

After enduring spiritual trials, Immanuel knew without a doubt that Kennedi was the one God had chosen for him. With a heart full of certainty, he asked her mother not only for her blessing, but for her help in creating the perfect proposal. At Klondike Park, surrounded by sand, water, and the quiet presence of loved ones waiting nearby, Kennedi was overwhelmed by the beauty her mother had thoughtfully arranged. As they sat together, Immanuel spoke from his heart and shared Proverbs 19:14: “Houses and riches are the inheritance of fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.” He told Kennedi she was from the Lord, and then asked her to be his wife. Without hesitation, Kennedi said yes! As family stepped forward and the moment unfolded, they were reminded that through every trial and every tribulation, God’s presence had carried them. As they walk toward their wedding day, they stand stronger than ever, confident that He will never leave them nor forsake them.

And to make this day even more special, those standing beside us…

Kayla Meyers

Maid of Honor

Kayla is the big sister of Kennedi who has been a part of her life from the very beginning. Life has taken them through many seasons together, the good ones and the bad ones but through it all, they’ve always found themselves being there for each other. Growing up, they shared many experiences that brought them closer from professional dancing & cheerleading, to traveling and exploring the world together. Their bond is truly unbreakable. Having Kayla stand beside Kennedi as her maid of honor is a dream they’ve shared for years and now, that dream has finally come true.

Deja McGhaw

Bridesmaid

Deja entered Kennedi’s life bringing peace, genuine friendship, and a Godly spirit that has been a blessing from the very beginning. From the moment they met, their bond continued to grow, turning a beautiful friendship into a sisterhood rooted in faith. Sharing so many similarities, Deja has been a constant source of encouragement and inspiration to Kennedi, gently reminding her to walk in grace, calmness, and God’s design as she prepares to be a devoted, Godly wife. Kennedi is honored to have Deja stand beside her during this special season.

Rachel Ferguson

Bridesmaid

Rachel and Kennedi became best friends at four years old. After years apart, God reunited them at Bethesda, and their friendship resumed as if no time had passed. Rachel has been a true blessing in Kennedi’s life, reminding her that the past does not define her, but shapes the purpose God has for her life. She listens, prays, and offers constant encouragement, bringing comfort, joy, and a Godly perspective. Rachel has been a source of strength and a friend who walks beside Kennedi in both laughter and faith. Kennedi is grateful to have Rachel stand beside her during this special season.

William Turner

Best Man

Immanuel and William are close-knit brothers, just under two years apart, so they grew up doing life together. They played church as kids, went to school together, and even lived together for a time. William and Immanuel are practically the same person, which is comforting because they know each other so well. William is incredibly accomplished in music, a gifted teacher of God’s Word, and someone who never lets anyone shake what he knows to be true. With an old soul, a steady spirit, and a heart that shows up in every way that matters, having his younger brother stand beside him as his Best Man is a true honor.

Tyler McGhaw Sr.

Groomsmen

Immanuel met Tyler at Bethesda not too long ago, but it didn’t take long for him to feel like family. Tyler is the big brother Immanuel has always wanted. He's wise, calm, and absolutely hilarious. He’s a devoted husband, an incredible father, a minister of the gospel, and a leader people naturally gravitate toward. He always knows how to listen and encourage at the right time, and shows up in ways that mean more than he probably knows. Tyler has a way of making you feel seen and understood while still keeping life light and fun. Having him stand with Immanuel on this day is not just an honor, it’s a blessing.

Warren Ferguson

Groomsmen

Warren and Immanuel met at Bethesda, and from the start, he’s been one of the most laid-back and down-to-earth people Immanuel has ever met. They relate on so many levels, share many interests, and joke constantly. What Immanuel admires most about Warren is his humility—confident but never prideful, calm and steady, fully given over to God, and somehow still one of the funniest people he knows. He’s a minister of the gospel, an encourager, and a friend who makes life feel lighter. Being around Warren brings Immanuel peace, and he’s grateful to have him standing with him on this day.
